Basic Document Editing |

Welcome to the third of a series of tutorials designed to get you using the CuppaWEB v2 Dashboard (called "Dashboard" from now on). If you have read the first tutorial in this series you should already be familiar with the Dashboard, so we will not go over that again. In this tutorial we will be editing the page we created in the last tutorial "Creating your first NEW Document". Open this page by clicking on the page "Test.xml" in the "Document viewer". |

Edit Mode
A document(in this case a page) when opened is initially in "View Mode" which is a read only state, to be able to edit the document you must first switch into "Edit Mode" by clicking on the button "Edit document" as seen in the screen-shot to the left.

Page elements
Now, one thing you must understand before editing pages is that they are made up of page elements. Page elements are the building blocks of your pages, examples of elements are Pictures/Text/Titles/Line breaks/Links etc... elements may also be complex items like a Forms/Content blocks/File access areas and anything else you can dream up. Each element has properties which can be manipulated to give them a different appearance or different functionality. To access an element's properties right click on it with the mouse and select the first entry as depicted in the screen-shot below.
